ELECTRONICS EXPERIENCE
From 1968 to 1972
I worked for Plessey
Tecommunications, servicing Hf and Lf Telecommunications
equipment .After being with
Plesseys for a few months , I
started day-release studying for my City & Guilds in
Telecommunications. After
being with them over one year
, I started on the Installation Division,installing S.S.B.
and AM equipment (transmitting and receiving standby power
supplies) I.E. for the Post Office , also doing maintenance
on small coastal radar stations.
In 1970
I passed my City & Guilds in
Telecommunications . While I was still at College , I
studied for my R.A.E. , Radio amateurs Exam . This enabled
me to run my own amateur Station.
In 1972
I left Plesseys and after a six week
advanced diving course , I started to work for Advanced
London Diving ,
cutting piles at Plymouth .
When that job was over , I started for Mobell Marine as a
Electronics Engineer/Diver,servicing their Hydro Products
Hand Held C.C.T.V. System . The other C.C.T.V. Systems I
have serviced have been S.S.S. Hand Held and Well head
systems.
In 1979
I was sent to San Diego by
Oceaneering for a 225 ROV .Since 1979 I have worked on many
contracts useing R.O.V.s .I have piloted many work class and
eye ball vehicles Rascal , Dart, super Dart , Hi Sub , Cetus
, Scot Sub , Scorpio , Super Scorpio , Scorpi , Triton ,
Scorpion , Sea Owl , Sea Hawk , U.F.O. , Duplus , Rig
Worker, Mantis , Sprint , Mongoose , Hyball , Sea Eye 600 ,
Sea Eye Boxer , Sea Eye Surveyor , Sea Worker , S.O.P. ,
R.O.D.s , Phantom, 225, pioneer, Consub , Super Achille ,
S.C.V. , Hakuyo 2000 , Sea Eye Tiger , Sea Eye Falcon
,Panther , Mini Astrix and Comanche
