Key Responsibilities
Evaluate the
exploration prospectivity within this operator's
licensed acreage in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia
and provide timely input to corporate portfolio
roll-up exercises. Reduce risk and uncertainty
through the application of geophysical
techniques. For the highest ranked
exploration/appraisal opportunities, mature to
drillable status and coordinate the preparation
of Investment Proposals. Coordinate post-well
audits to ensure learnings are captured.
Ensure prospect
evaluations are of high quality through
coordinating peer reviews and maintaining
technical standards.
Manage the
primary internal and external (partner, BERR)
interfaces to gain support for my clients
proposals.
Support data room
evaluations to help optimize the portfolio of
opportunities.
Mentor less
experienced staff to help develop technical
skills.
Coordinate this
operators recruitment effort for geoscience
disciplines.
Promote this
operators name through participation at
technical conferences.
Qualifications:
Educated to
degree level - preferably with an MSc in
Petroleum Geoscience.
Previously
employed within the exploration or subsurface
department of an operating company.
Previous
experience is highly desirable.
Experience in
identifying and maturing a wide range of
exploration/appraisal/infill opportunities to
drillable status.
Broad experience
in using the latest geophysical characterization
techniques.
Broad exposure to
petrophysical and geophysical interpretation and
characterization techniques.
Experience in
coordinating multi-disciplinary projects and in
dealing effectively with partners.
Good communicator
with collaborative working style.
Excellent
mentoring skills to help develop less
experienced staff.
